I am a competitive junior golfer in grade 11 at The Edge Prep School for Athletes where I am the captain of the golf team. I compete on the MJT, Canada Golf and Alberta Golf circuits and recently scored a career low with a two day total of 137 at the MJT Edge School Spring Classic at Riverbend. This 7 under finish (66-71) qualified me to the Junior America’s Cup July 30 – August 4th in Pleasanton, California where I will represent MJT Team Canada.
Last season I had seven top three finishes on the MJT tour with a seasonal low score of 67-72 at Copper Point Golf club in Invermere, British Columbia. I also had three first place finishes on the Alberta Golf McLennan Ross junior tour and tied for third place in the Alberta U19 Championship (73-68-71) qualifying me to the Canadian Junior Boys Championship in Quebec.
I enjoy the competitive nature of golf and am looking forward to the upcoming season and the exciting opportunities ahead.

Christian Hansen
Christian Hansen, Okotoks, Alberta
Christian Hansen is a 17-year-old senior in high school and he lives in Okotoks, Alberta, with his parents, his younger sister, and his two cats. He started playing golf at the age of 5 in junior summer golf camps and developed more of a love for the sport as he got older. He participated in the drive, chip, and putt event beginning at age 9 and he was in his first golf tournament when he was 10 years old. He has gradually participated in more and more competitive events ever since. Christian also enjoys playing and refereeing hockey, playing basketball and spending time with his friends. Christian also has volunteered with young children at the local recreation centre for 2 summers and enjoys helping others.
Christian had a break through year in 2019 winning his first MJT Tournament at McKenzie Meadows then got his first invite to the National Championship in Florida. In 2020 no wins but he was a top 10 finisher in every tournament except the National Championship. Building off that went on to have a great 2021 with a win at Copper Point and the Order of Merit winner nationally in the Junior Boys Division. With getting a invite to the Future Stars event, 2022 is starting off with a bang. Not bad considering he was disqualified from the first ever MJT event he played in.

Short Bio –
As a current grade ten student, I want to improve my game with a goal of securing a spot on a U.S. College Golf Team, where I intend to study Business. During my grade nine and ten years I completed a hybrid of online and in person learning, and I am currently over a semester ahead in my studies, permitting me to spend more time during my junior and senior years preparing for and competing in my sport. My current GPA is 4.0.
I am a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed with a Wilms tumor before my first birthday. I spent the first several years of my life undergoing various treatments and surgeries. This experience has made me resilient and compassionate. For two of the three years immediately prior to COVID, I canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society, and I also volunteered at the WICC-BC annual golf tournament, raising money for cancer care and prevention
